Over the last few years we’ve followed their relationship through its ups and downs on TV’s Made In Chelsea, so for most of us it will come as no surprise that after two years together, Louise Thompson has got engaged to Ryan Libbey on a recent trip to Los Angeles. With the details of the romantic proposal revealed, and the photos of Louise’s stunning 77 Diamonds ring shared by the newly engaged couple, we are happy to have been part of this special moment and creating the ring of her dreams.
Upon booking an appointment at the 77 Diamonds showroom, in the heart of Mayfair, Ryan was met by Sophie Lomax, Head of design at 77 Diamonds, an award-winning jewellery designer, highly regarded for her fine jewellery designs with titles including Professional Jeweller – Young Designer of the Year 2017 and Retail Jeweller – 30 under 30 Rising Stars 2017. With Sophie’s wealth of experience and passion for designing bespoke jewellery, she worked together with Ryan to create this special ring, unique to Louise and reflective of her style and personality.

Engagement Ring Inspiration
Elizabeth Taylor’s Krupp Diamond
Is there anyone as quintessentially glamorous as Elizabeth Taylor? Out of all the women in the world, no one wore diamonds quite like her. As diamond rings are so synonymous with love and devotion it is only natural that this diamond in particular is linked to one of the most enduring and affecting love stories of Hollywood.
Getting hitched on Valentine’s Day seems to be a romantic cliché that refuses to lose its flavour. Not many lovers would like to pass up the opportunity to get engaged, married or just pop the question on the universal day of love, perhaps in the ardent hope that the heavens above bestow special blessings for a happily ever after. After all, there’s quite nothing like offering the commitment of a lifetime on a day when the stars align specifically to approve the union of those struck by cupid.
The fascination to make 14 February their most memorable day finds favour with not just the common masses, but celebrities too. To warm up hearts (and to offer inspiration to those who might be experiencing cold feet), here’s a fond recollection of some of the most famous couples making it their big day:
Though singer Mariah Carey split from her billionaire fiancé James Packer last month, she continues to be spotted wearing her $10m (approx. £8m) engagement ring, which is said to be a 30-carat emerald cut sparkler. Celebrity hook-ups make for exciting news, more so for the peep they offer into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. But, the crumbling of A-list relationships is also a sad reality, and with these associations, the fate of tokens of love turns dicey. So, where does the engagement rings go?
Reality TV star and model-socialite Kim Kardashian’s highly publicised Paris visit went horribly wrong early Monday morning when she was bound and robbed at gunpoint in her apartment, located on Rue Tronchet in the 8th Arrondissement, close to the British Embassy in Paris, France. The robbers are reported to have decamped with $10m (8.96m euros; £7.84m) worth of jewels – mostly from Kim’s personal collection – including a $4m diamond ring and two iPhones, also believed to have belonged to her. Some pieces that were stolen, say police, had been borrowed for Paris Fashion Week, which she had travelled to Europe’s fashion capital to attend. The daring heist must undoubtedly be traumatising for the celebrity, who, only three days before the theft, had posted a picture of her astounding 20 carat emerald cut diamond that had been recently gifted to her as a second engagement ring by rapper-husband Kanye West.

Oh to be a part of the elite Brit model pack…their hair is permanently sleek and polished, their skin is as dewy as a child’s and their Amazonian lithe limbs are undeniably envy-inducing.
It’s not just their natural beauty that catches our attention. More than ever, models are continuously being praised for their slick ‘off-duty’ style. As if they didn’t look good enough on the runways, they’ve nailed street style too and of course; jewellery plays a vital part in giving their outfits that star quality finishing touch.
Whether it’s strolling around Portobello Market on a sunny afternoon or posing up a storm in the latest Burberry campaign, Suki Waterhouse continues to blow us away with her effortlessly chic looks. We particularly love the below pairing of delicate hoops with huge, Jackie O-inspired sunglasses. Try our stunning Iris earrings in yellow gold with these unique and rather fabulous D&G sunnies – while dramatic, they are the ideal accessory to add some glamour to a classic white chiffon dress, perfect for making a statement on your own ‘off-duty’ days – think Sunday brunch at The Ivy Chelsea Garden or a crisp glass of rosé at The River Café.
It’s that time of year again – celebs, fashionistas and posers alike flock to Palm Springs in Los Angeles for the annual three-day music festival that is Coachella while us Brits begrudgingly ogle the hundreds of envy-inducing photos on the Mail Online.
There is always a media frenzy surrounding Coachella, and very little of it has to do with the line-up. Despite phenomenal headliners such as Guns N Roses and Calvin Harris, Coachella makes the headlines because of its cult-celebrity following and the stylish ensembles on show. It is the ultimate stomping ground for aspiring style queens and peacocking celebs, all channeling their inner hippie dippie goddesses.
Of course, jewellery plays a pivotal role. Particularly if you want to stand out in crowd of denim cut-offs and flower headbands.
Statement necklaces were the port of call for models like Alessandra Ambrosio. What better way to channel your bohemian chic than with a peace sign? Of course, we’re not talking the kind of plastic thing you wear on a string round your neck to a year seven disco. No no, you are far too grown up for that. Our Peace necklace brings sophistication to this bohemian emblem thanks to the spectacular diamonds that adorn it. Pair the yellow gold necklace with a loose-fitting patterned playsuit for an elegant flower child inspired look.

When singer and X Factor presenter Cheryl Cole was married for the second time on a Caribbean beach this month she did so sporting a stunning six-carat emerald-cut diamond that dwarfed the rock given to her by first husband Ashley Cole.
But which other celebs have upgraded their wedding and engagement rings when remarrying? We took a look at a few celebrities and how their rings compared.
For centuries, fairy tales have inspired children and adults alike to dream. Very few did this like the story of Sleeping Beauty, who herself had time to dream after being tricked and put into a 100 year sleep by the wicked fairy Maleficent.
