A celebrated jewellery designer with over 12 years of experience in the industry and 10 years at 77 Diamonds, Anna has made her mark crafting one-of-a-kind engagement rings and bridal jewellery. Known for her innovative use of rare and unconventional materials, she transforms her clients’ ideas into meaningful bespoke creations that feel as personal as the love they represent.

Anna’s eye for detail and love of the unexpected earned international attention in 2021, when she designed a show-stopping 7.6-carat black diamond engagement ring for celebrity Myleene Klass: a piece that epitomises her bold creativity.

We sat down with Anna to talk about her journey, inspirations, and the magic behind her bespoke designs.

Why did you choose to become a jewellery designer?

Anna: I’ve always been fascinated by the way jewellery holds emotion. Unlike other art forms, jewellery is something you carry with you every day. It can symbolise love, milestones, or even personal triumphs. I wanted to create pieces that aren’t just beautiful but also meaningful, that become part of someone’s life journey.

How did you start?

Anna: After completing my MA in Jewellery Design, I launched my own business and spent three years creating and selling my own collections, including to a member of Little Mix and to one of the Dragons from BBC's Dragon's Den! It was an incredible way to refine my style, understand the industry, and connect directly with clients. From there, I moved into bespoke design at 77 Diamonds, where I could focus on the part I loved most, working with people to create one-of-a-kind pieces that tell their story.

What’s the most iconic piece you’ve created so far?

Anna: Without a doubt, the 7.6-carat black diamond engagement ring I designed for Myleene Klass. It was such a striking commission: a bold, unexpected stone paired with a design that remained elegant and romantic. I spent whole nights refining and tweaking the design to make it just right! That piece really captured the essence of what I love to do.

What inspires you?

Anna: Inspiration comes from so many places: architecture, nature, travel, even conversations with clients. Often, it’s the story behind a commission that sparks the most creativity. Each couple brings their own ideas, and I love weaving those details into the design.

What’s your favourite gem?

Anna: I have a soft spot for coloured diamonds, especially fancy yellows. They have a warmth and glow that’s incredibly uplifting. But I also love working with rare stones like old mine cut or salt-and-pepper diamonds for their character and individuality, and for the fact they are trending again after Taylor Swift’s proposal.

What’s your favourite engagement ring style?

Anna: I’m drawn to designs that balance classic elegance with a subtle twist… Like a solitaire with an unexpected diamond shape, or a hidden detail only the wearer knows about. Those little surprises make a ring truly personal.

What’s your best memory so far as 77 Diamonds’ Head of Bespoke?

Anna: There have been so many special moments, but I particularly cherish the times when clients see their finished ring for the first time. The excitement and emotion in that instant never gets old: it’s a privilege to be part of such a meaningful chapter.
