It was a magical Christmas proposal in Edinburgh at The Balmoral Hotel. Adam had a trick up his sleeve for Stacey which left her speechless. From North Yorkshire, the couple have two beautiful kids together and have planned their wedding in Santorini next summer. This week, Adam Lonsdale and Stacey Quigley share their love story.
First meeting: The couple met during a night out, and have now been together for almost 11 years.
He’s the one: “As cliche as it may sound, I knew he was the one straight away! But when we had our first child, it was confirmed. He’s an amazing dad! We have two children; Zac aged seven and Amélie aged five,” shares Stacey, an Operating Department Practitioner.
The proposal: Adam, a Lead Engineer, proposed to Stacey last November at The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, a special spot for the couple as they stay there every year while Christmas shopping. “When I got back to the hotel after shopping, Adam said he had a magic trick to show me; he loves magic! The classic cup and ball trick but instead of a ball being in his pocket there was a box with a beautiful 77 Diamonds ring in it! I was so shocked and really mad at the same time as I had no nail varnish on so had to dash out and get some,” Stacey laughs.
The ring: Adam chose the Delicacy ring in platinum with a princess shape diamond. “I absolutely love it and cannot stop looking at it,” Stacey exclaims.
The wedding: The couple is getting married in June next year in Santorini at Santo Winery with 35 guests. “The venue looks amazing, perfect for my unbelievable Rue De Seine gown! We can’t wait,” Stacey beams.
Congratulations Adam and Stacey, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
