At 77 Diamonds, we source our gems directly from the manufacturers who polish the stones. These manufacturers usually buy their rough diamonds from the world's main diamond producing countries, which include places such a Botswana, Canada and South Africa. We only deal with suppliers we trust, and who comply with international standards of responsible sourcing. Each diamond we sell is certified and conflict-free.

We always endeavour to offer customers enough choice in their diamond purchase, while ensuring our suppliers meet our strict sourcing standards. To this end, we regularly review and update our Responsible Sourcing Policy, and are making continual efforts to improve wherever needed.

As fine jewellers, we are committed to standards of responsible sourcing. This means acting with integrity all along our supply chain, and respecting those we supply from.

Our diamonds are sourced following international standards of responsible sourcing, and come under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which ensures they have not been used to fund armed conflict.

Yes, we do sell both, as we prefer our customers to have a range of diamond options directly available to them. Our diamond collection separates natural from lab-growns, to avoid any confusion. You'll also receive your gem with a certificate clearly stating that it is a lab-grown.

To make your choice as easy as possible, we recommend first-time buyers learn a little more about diamonds, and more specifically the diamond 4Cs before settling on their favourite gem. Be sure to visit our helpful diamond education section for information on how to pick a diamond. You can also contact our jewellery specialists at any time directly through live chat.

The majority of our items take approximately 15 to 20 working days to be handcrafted, with some of our more elaborate, diamond-set pieces taking up to 8 weeks (this includes vintage, halo, trilogy and diamond-set rings). If you would like to receive your jewellery sooner, we can in some cases speed up the workshop process. This, however, depends on the amount of jewellery we are working on, and on the nature of your jewellery design. Please note, there is an extra fee of £125 (around €140) included to expedite classic solitaire designs, and £175 (around €200) for diamond-set jewellery (such as halos, vintage, or trilogy designs).

Yes, we do – if you have an idea, we have the design. By sharing your ideas with our bespoke team, you can create a jewel that is completely one-of-a-kind. Send over an enquiry explaining what you would like, and attaching any images if possible. A designer will then contact you to discuss your piece, and provide you with a quote.

If you are happy with the quoted piece, our team will send you a selection of computer generated designs, and in certain cases make sketches of your jewel. Once all is approved, we will then source your chosen centre stones and send your item to be crafted in the 77 Diamonds workshop. Our team will let you know how long this will take, depending on the design's complexity.

You can engrave your ring with any message you choose for an additional fee of £30. A meaningful touch to your jewellery design, simply add an engraving to your ring before checkout. Your ring will have space for up to 15 characters, and you can choose from a range of fonts and symbols to complement your design.

Please note, engraved rings are non-returnable. Your engraving will need to be remade if your ring is resized, so best select an engraving only if you're certain you have the correct size.

Yes, we make our jewellery with a range of gemstones and semi-precious stones. You will find a selection of coloured diamonds and gemstones directly on our website. If you are unable to find a particular gem in our selection, please contact our jewellery specialists and we will source the perfect piece for you.

We only restore 77 Diamonds jewellery to ensure the highest possible quality. Depending on your request, our bespoke team can, in certain cases, recreate a jewellery piece with diamonds or gemstones taken from a vintage piece. For minor restorations, such as replating a white gold ring or polishing your jewellery, we offer a Clean & Polish service that costs £75. This service is only available for customers who have bought a 77 Diamonds jewel.

This is simply because gold is naturally yellow in colour. To obtain a white, reflective sheen, white gold need to be alloyed with other metals such as silver, zinc or nickel, and then coated in a rare metal called rhodium. Over time, a white gold ring can lose its rhodium coating and present a faint yellow hue. Some don't mind this, but if you would like your ring to be restored to its initial lustre, you can send it to be replated by our specialists for a fee of £75. In terms of colour, white gold and platinum are virtually identical, and both are intensely bright. So what makes them so different? The answer lies in their composition. Gold is naturally yellow in colour. To obtain that white gold sheen, gold must be alloyed with other metals such as silver, zinc or nickel, and then coated in a rare metal called rhodium. Platinum, on the other hand, is naturally white and doesn't need to be coated in any metal. In terms of pricing, white gold is more lightweight than platinum, and therefore more affordable.  

Both rings are durable, with platinum being slightly stronger and less likely to bend. Over time, you may need to replate a white gold ring as the rhodium plating can wear off. A platinum ring will sometimes need to be polished to remove any surface imperfections (known as 'patina'). You can easily do this through our Clean & Polish service which costs £65 (around 75€), and have your ring restored to its original condition. 

Ultimately, both white gold and platinum are excellent metals, and there is no wrong choice in purchasing either. To know which to choose, it’s best to understand what is more important to you: is it affordability, durability, or perhaps the amount of aftercare involved? Not to worry! Ring size can be tricky, especially if you are planning a surprise proposal. This is why your first resize is always free of charge if you return your ring within 30 days. Resizing takes approximately 10-15 working days from the day we receive your item.

Please note that items paid online through PayPal, Amazon Pay, or through V12 and Klarna finance need to be sent to your billing address for security reasons.

Our diamond prices can sometimes fluctuate, as they are influenced by the global diamond market. Price fluctuation is normal, and the variations are very small from day to day.

Although overseas customers purchasing from our UK showrooms cannot claim back VAT at the airport, we do offer a tax-free service for high-value items through the secure delivery company Malca-Amit. This MIB (Merchandise In Baggage) service costs £200 (around 230€). When you pass through UK airport customs, a member of the Malca-Amit team will be waiting to hand over your item tax-free. To qualify for this service, you must be flying out of the UK, and reside in a different country. Overseas customers purchasing from our showrooms in Germany can claim back German VAT at the airport upon leaving the country. You will need to notify our team upon purchasing your item, and we will hand you a reclaim form to present at airport customs.

For UK, EU or Swiss customers : There are no hidden charges for postage and packing, and you will not be charged any import duties once we ship your item. Prices on our website include VAT at checkout. For overseas customers : There are no hidden charges for postage and packing. As an overseas customer, you may be charged local VAT and import duties once your order is transferred to a shipping agent. Our 30-day refund guarantee begins the day you receive your item. You will then have 30 days, or 14 days for orders costing over £15k (around 17 500€), to return it for an exchange or refund if you aren't entirely happy with your purchase. Please note, engraved and bespoke jewellery are non-refundable.
