Popular American singer Michael Bublé has decided to wear his own engagement or ‘mengagement’ ring in order to mark his engagement to Luisana Lopilato. It is thought that the decision has been made to honour his Argentinean fiancée’s heritage and tradition.
The singer star has been a huge hit in both the US and the UK. He began dating Lopilato in November of 2008. Bublé popped the big question to the actress and singer close to their one year anniversary in November last year, extending out to her a beautiful sparkling diamond ring.
But Bublé has followed in her steps and now shows off his own shining piece of jewellery to mark the relationship. On Monday evening during a concert in Toronto, Canada, Bublé brandished his own engagement band on his left ring finger.
During the show, the singer mentioned his upcoming wedding which enticed several boos from disappointed female fans. One fan even requested that he take off his ring, to which he answered humorously: “I won’t take it off, bitch!”
He then went on to explain the tradition of South American weddings and even got a joke in there, expressing that had golfer Tiger Woods married a woman from Argentina “he would have nothing to stroke right now.”
To explain the ring decision, he told the crowd, "The boy also wears the engagement ring (in Argentina). That's what she tells me anyway."
