JLS singer Marvin Humes made sure that his girlfriend had a very happy new year… by getting down on one knee and proposing! He asked Rochelle Wiseman, a member of girl group The Saturdays, to be his wife on New Year’s Eve, while the couple were on holiday in the Caribbean island Antigua.
Shortly afterwards, they both took to Twitter to announce their engagement. Rochelle uploaded a picture of the couple toasting their engagement with a glass of champagne, tweeting “Its official Marvin proposed 2me 2day, wanted 2 tell u b4 some1 else did! SO excited 2 b Mrs Humes. x”
The engagement ring, which features a dazzling heart shaped diamond surrounded by smaller round diamonds, is rumoured to have cost £45,000.
