Police in Hong Kong are on the hunt for a stolen diamond ring that is worth over £1million. It belongs to Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, the co-president of luxury jewellers Chopard. It was last seen in the Harbour View ballroom of the city’s Four Seasons Hotel; when Gruosi-Scheufele visited the bathroom and took the ring off to wash her hands. Upon returning to the bathroom a mere seven minutes later to retrieve the ring, she realised that it was gone.
The ring features an incredible 16.83 carat emerald, which is accompanied by two 1.15 and 1.29 carat diamonds. The band itself is adorned with a further 674 smaller diamonds. Hong Kong have issued a reward for its return.
