Even if she did not get through the whole of the women’s singles tournament at the US Open, Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova still put on a sparkling performance, wearing diamond jewellery on the courts. She donned the jewellery at the competition as part of a partnership she has with luxury retailer Tiffany & Co.
The 2010 US Open is currently being held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre in Flushing, New York from 30th August to 12th September.
Sharapova is wearing yellow diamond earrings from Tiffany & Co's latest collection for the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, of which the US Open is one. Also included is the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon. During each event, the tennis champion wears earrings from ‘Tiffany for Maria Sharapova’, a select group of earrings that is available at certain stores around the globe.
The drop earrings that Sharapova is wearing feature both rare yellow diamonds and white diamonds set in 18 karat gold and platinum.
