Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former US President and current Secretary of State, Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, recently got engaged to be married to longtime boyfriend Ed Mezvinsky. Her wedding is due to take place on the 31st July this month and has created a lot of interest since she is keeping details of it extremely hidden. Mezvinsky, 31, is an investment banker, and the guest list is thought to include many prominent politicians due to both the bride and groom’s family ties.
Speculators remain intrigued over the usual wedding topics, such as the dress, the engagement ring, and venue. Since the couple is from New York, it is expected that the designer of the wedding dress will be of the highest caliber within fashion circles.
Unfortunately nearly everything is based on speculation as there has been no prenuptial press coverage. According to Hillary Clinton, “It will be a private affair. It will be for [Chelsea's] close friends and that’s the way it should be.” However, the New York Times has rumored the dress to be either created by Oscar de la Renta or Vera Wang who are both famous for their wedding dress designs.
As for the venue, several reporters are anticipating that the ceremony will take place at the Belvedere Mansion in Staatsburg, Martha’s vineyard, or the Astor Courts; both estates have just recently been removed off the market.
So far we have only seen the stunning engagement ring which Clinton flaunted at the opening of Promises, Promises Broadway; a cushion cut diamond on a silver band, thought to be over 3 carats. However –29-year-old Chelsea Clinton is marrying a banker so the wedding band is expected to be spectacular.
It is thought and hoped that there will be official photographs released of the high profile wedding since the public have been kept in the dark about specific plans so far.
