Hot on the heels of yesterday’s diamond-encrusted furniture, designer Alexander Amosu has given the Midas touch to a Blackberry phone.
The 18 karat gold Blackberry Torch mobile, weighing in at a rather hefty (for a mobile!) 38 grams was originally made to order by an international supermodel. Aside from the mid-frame the other parts are only in metallic gold, although it does come with the option of adding diamonds in any colour.
The basic package costs $12,000 and is available in yellow and rose gold and comes with an international concierge service, a ‘golden’ number which you can choose from a series of unique mobile phone numbers and a choice of crocodile or python gold carry case.
You’d be pretty gutted if you left this in a cab on a night out...
