The world’s most expensive advent calendar has been created by Belgian company Octagon Blue GCV. Costing a phenomenal £1.7million, the calendar defies the humble chocolate version and is filled with diamonds and gold, weighing in at an eye-watering 81 carats.
The one-of-a-kind calendar is made of glass and contains 24 diamonds, representing the number of days of advent, while diamond-shaped fairies sit alongside 100 parcels of quarter carat diamonds.
However, if you were thinking that the price tag was a touch extravagant for a calendar, you’ll be pleased to know that it includes an exclusive and custom-made piece of jewellery by Frankfurt-based jeweller Biegel.
