After an increase in diamond sales over Christmas, it would appear that the diamond industry can also expect a successful Valentine’s season, reports DNA.
The National Retail Federation (NRF) has estimated a 17% increase in US diamond jewellery sales this coming Valentine’s Day, compared with those of last year. Indeed US consumers are expected to spend a whopping US$3.5 billion on their diamonds this year, up from US$3billion in 2010.
The USA are the biggest consumer of diamonds in the world and it is thought that diamond jewellery will be the most popular gift choice for Americans this coming February 14th.
