Naomi Campbell is due to open up about the Charles Taylor blood diamonds scandal in the March issue of GQ magazine.
The 40-year old supermodel, who was subpoenaed to testify at The Hague last year has always maintained that she was ‘scapegoat’ in the trial.
Last year the model was questioned on the events surrounding a charity gala dinner hosted at Nelson Mandela’s house in 1997. Campbell explained how a pair of men knocked on the door of her hotel room and woke her up late at night. The men, who she claimed to never have met, reportedly handed her a ‘pouch’ which she opened the next morning to discover they contained ‘a few small very dirty looking stones.’
The March 2011 issue of British GQ goes on sale February 3rd.
