The pop star everyone is talking about and who never misses a chance to feature in the news, Lady GaGa, has given singer and actress Beyonce Knowles a custom-made diamond whip, along with matching bra and knickers for her 29th birthday on Saturday.
GaGa is thought to have splashed out thousands of dollars on the gift, and presented it to the star in her husband Jay-Z's dressing room after he played with Eminem in Detroit last week.
The pop star sang Happy Birthday to her friend Beyonce before opening a bottle of champagne to celebrate with her.
"GaGa wanted to give her something special. The whip was made out of hundreds of diamonds and leather," a source told The Sun newspaper.
"When Beyonce received it she squealed with excitement. The dressing room was decorated with balloons and banners and a lot of champagne had been put on too."
Rappers 50 Cent, Dr Dre and Drake were also present as part of the line-up for Eminem and Jay-Z's Home & Home tour and to mark Beyonce’s birthday.
It is likely that GaGa’s eccentric gift has taken inspiration from her recent prison-themed music video for the hit single ‘Telephone’, which starred both the singers.
