Renowned auction house Christie’s is set to put a 5.1ct emerald cut diamond ring, which was formerly owned by American actress Gloria Swanson, under the hammer in May.
With a pre-sale estimate of $97,000 - $ 139,000, the sale is expected to attract a plethora of jewellery collectors and fans of old Hollywood alike. In the 1920's Swanson was the highest paid actress in Tinseltown and was under contract from her studio to keep up with latest fashion trends and be seen in the world's best diamonds...Nice work if you can get it!
The impressive piece will go under the hammer on May 23.
