It seems that even classic works of art cannot avoid the allure of diamonds as it has been reported that a Chinese jewellery collector has fashioned a replica of Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa out of diamonds and precious gems, according to Luxuo.
The diamond-encrusted piece is thought to have been made with over 100,000 carats worth of gems and has taken five years to complete. However, collecting the gems for the unusual work of art has taken nearly 30 years.
The blingin' version of Da Vinci's famous oeuvre is currently on display in a shopping mall in Shenyand City, China.
